Shake it Up Saturday - RUM Virtual Classic Cocktail Making Workshop

We're running our popular Shake it Up Saturday Virtual Cocktail Workshop all summer long across Canada with BONUS Fever-Tree Mixer!

Our friends at New World Virtual Tours and Tastings and Fever Tree Canada are continuing our series of fun virtual cocktail classes all winter long with Toronto Common and The Ultimate Food Guide, available across Canada!

Learn some new drinks to entertain friends, with friends, or just add a bit of fun to your Saturday evening at home!

Virtual events are a great way to bring together family, friends, colleagues, and strangers :) without having to leave the house and it's a great way to SHAKE THINGS UP!

Our events are small, live, and interactive with max 12 guests, giving you time to hop off mute, see faces, ask questions, and engage.

Our events are always open to the public but private events can also be booked directly through The Ultimate Food Guide or New World Virtual Tours and Tastings.

For our public events we have partnered with Fever Tree Canada to add a BONUS cocktail with one of their signature mixers for some added fun!

Join us for a hands-on exploration of classic cocktails from the comfort of home.

New World Virtual Tours and Tastings resident mixologist will guide us through three classic RUM cocktails, a Mojito, Daiquiri, and Jungle Bird plus a BONUS Spiced Orange Ginger Ale for you to enjoy at home.

Shake, stir, and sip as you learn the basic skills of bartending. While imbibing your host will fill you in on the unique story of each drink and its historical relevance.

New World Virtual Tours and Tastings started as a wine tour company offering elevated wine tours in Niagara and Prince Edward County with a team of wine professionals and sommeliers. After moving wine tastings virtually in 2020, it quickly became clear, why stop there?

Now with Whisky, Tequila, Rum, Sake, Beer, Cocktails, Chocolate, Coffee, and Tea coming soon... all with a focus on creating great experiences that take guests on a journey (tour) in their tasting.

While taste is subjective, tastings can be curated to help guests determine and describe their preferences for future selections and when chatting with other enthusiast.

Specializing in small-group tourism and curated experiences, New World took that virtually with a focus on smaller groups that allows for a conversation, not just a presentation or live stream online.

With so much watchable content online, New World really wanted to focus on creating a space for conversation.

Their industry experts have years of experience in the industry and in education making them great for answering questions on the spot as well as curating tastings based thousands of tastings, personal visits to distilleries, wineries, and years of education to create memorable experiences with contrast, history, and tastings selections that really stand out in their class.

All tasting kits are partnerships with local businesses, complying with all local regulations, and New World does not carry inventory, making it easier for them to source and select based on tasting without the pressures of inventory.

They operate more like a private shopper, and facilitate orders, not fulfill them.

Private virtual tastings and other events can be requested through New World Virtual Tours and Tastings or booked directly on theultimatefoodguide.com.

The Ultimate Food Guide started as a dish by dish food guide making it easier for people to search for the dishes they love.

A sister site to torontocommon.com a mirco-event listing site for fun, small, events in Toronto partnered with restaurants and great brands.

With COVID keeping us indoors and online, we combined the two offerings into one Virtual Event offering with The Ultimate Food Guide offering Toronto Common virtual events across Canada.
